We believe that everyone deserves the chance to drive, regardless of physical limitations. Our expert team of driver trained occupational therapists works closely with you to assess your needs and identify the right vehicle modifications and adaptive driving devices.
Whether you’re returning to driving or learning for the first time, we support you every step of the way with best-practice assessments, high-tech equipment trials, and capacity-building programs tailored to your goals. From hand controls and left-foot accelerators to joystick steering and voice-command systems, we make driving safer, more comfortable, and more accessible.
Hand controls enable you to brake and accelerate the vehicle using your hands, instead of your feet. There are many varieties of hand controls to suit the needs of the person.
We have an extensive range of Fadiel Italiana hand controls that cover most bases, including left and right-sided and wireless controls.
Take a look at the hand controls we have fitted in our cars.
The satellite accelerator is designed for drivers who prefer to keep both hands on the wheel while driving. It is worn like a glove, and acceleration is controlled by gently pressing the thumb against a small lever.
Whether you’re driving long distances, navigating tight curves, or performing complex manoeuvres, the satellite accelerator, available in both wired and wireless models, ensures agile, smooth, responsive, and safe driving. The satellite accelerator is often used in combination with a hand-operated brake lever.

The trigger accelerator and brake lever hand control functions by pushing the lever to brake and pulling the trigger to accelerate. It provides an easy transition to electronic controls for drivers accustomed to traditional mechanical push-pull hand controls.
The light action of the trigger reduces fatigue and allows the driver to stabilise the steering wheel with both hands while using the little finger to control the accelerator trigger.
Switches can be installed for operating the indicators and other vehicle functions all with the same hand. The trigger accelerator and brake lever is often used with a spinner knob.

The Ergonomic Radial Accelerator and Brake Lever is a high-quality hand control tailored for individuals with limited dexterity. It provides an easy transition to electronic controls for drivers accustomed to traditional mechanical push-pat hand controls.
The Ergonomic Radial Accelerator has an option of a palm or lever grip handle, along with the ability to customize the handle’s weight and rotation. It allows the experience to be personalised to match the user’s unique strengths, preferences, and capabilities.

The Easy Drive is a hand control that can be installed on the left side of the driver’s seat, maximising space to transfer into and out of the vehicle.
Switches can be installed for operating the indicators and other vehicle functions all with the same hand. This results in a high-performing, intuitive product with comfortable and easy-to-manage acceleration and braking.

The mini wheel enables people with limited arm mobility to control the steering wheel with little wrist movement. It consists of two main components: the mini wheel and the mechanical drive unit, which work together to mimic the smooth action of a traditional steering wheel.
The device uses electronic sensors to send signals to the mechanical drive under the dashboard, and it can be installed on either side of the driver without altering the original steering wheel.
The Freedom brake and accelerator is designed for drivers with limited limb function and strength, requiring only 100 grams of pressure to brake.
It combines power-assisted brake and accelerator functions in one unit, which can be custom mounted to suit the driver’s needs and paired with advanced steering controls, such as the mini wheel, 2-way joystick or foot steering.
The joystick control is the most sophisticated assistive driving equipment for individuals with limited physical abilities.
2 and 4 way options are available. 4 way joystick control allows drivers to manage the steering, braking, and acceleration using just a wrist or foot movement.
2 way joystick control can be fitted just for accelerating and braking, or steering. The system can be installed on either side of the driver, providing full functionality.
Left foot accelerators enable you to safely operate the brake and accelerator pedals using your left lower limb. They do this by fitting another pedal to the left side of the brake.
This enables the driver maintain an ergonomic, forward-facing position and quickly shift between pedals in a timely and coordinated manner. The original accelerator pedal is either disengaged or protected by a guard to prevent unwarranted use.
The Fadiel Italiana Left Foot Accelerator is a universal variant, providing smooth and comfortable braking and acceleration. Its floor-mounted design ensures easy installation and features a quick-release function.
By simply lifting the quick-release latch and sliding back the detachable component, the unit can be removed, reverting the vehicle to the standard right foot accelerator pedal. This provides an easy, reliable, and high-quality solution for left foot drivers.

Spinner knobs enable you to safely steer the vehicle using one upper limb. There are many different types of spinner knobs that vary in their size and shape to suit people with full or limited grip-strength.
Some spinner knobs also incorporate switches to operate the indicators and other vehicle functions if required.
Fadiel Italiana offers a variety of steering wheel spinner knobs to meet different user needs. We have a standard ball grip, two point, three point and conical grips available for use.
All spinner knobs meet Australian Standard and are of high quality. They feature a quick-release coupling for easy removal, and the clamping brackets are small and unobtrusive, preventing damage to the steering wheel.

Lodgesons spinner knobs are designed to provide easy and safe steering for drivers with limited grip strength. They come in various sizes and shapes to accommodate different user needs and can include switches for operating vehicle functions.
The knobs are high quality, easy to use, and feature a quick-release coupling for easy removal without damaging the steering wheel.

The foot steering uses the same technology as the mini wheel. It is designed to allow the driver to turn the steering wheel from left to right using a forward and backward pedal motion with their foot.
Additionally, it can be configured like the mini wheel in any position within the footwell to ensure optimal operation for the user.
Voice control is designed for people unable to operate physical buttons or switches. The system uses voice prompts to activate the vehicle’s auxiliary controls (indicators, headlights, windscreen wipers and much more).
The unidirectional microphone captures only the driver’s voice, filtering out other unwanted sounds in the vehicle.
